Our Story
One for a Thousand was founded in 2024 by people who wanted to make a difference in the world, with an immediate focus on the Children of God in Uganda Africa.
We are dedicated to providing social, financial and teaching services to youth, widows and Pastors world-wide.
Your support empowers the ministry to meet the critical needs of a child’s body, mind and spirit. Your support invites a child into a safe place where they are safe, fed, clothed, educated and learn the Gospel of Jesus.

In Exodus 20:6, the Lord promises: “But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.” Taking this promise to the heart of Africa is the culmination of years of prayer and your generous support becomes your partnership with us to affect and bless a thousand generations that will follow us.
We believe that the Lord’s Word will not return void, and through your support, we are fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples of all the nations.
Our Current Focus
New Generations School is based in Namuyenje, Nakisunga Sub-County (Mukono District) in Uganda, Africa. The school was founded in 2004 by Reverends Henry and Harriet Senfuka of New Life Discipleship Ministries. Currently it has a population of 200 pupils ranging from ages 3 to 15 years, from Kindergarten to Primary Seven, and over 260 pupils have so far have graduated to high school.
The school is fully registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports (PPS/N/277). Most of the learners come from the community and distant villages where the ministry plants churches and there are no schools. Therefore, some of the learners reside at the school because their homes are distant. Due to their age and security reasons, they cannot trek to school daily, and yet they have the passion for studying.
It is our desire that God enables us to reach more children in our community to help them acquire quality education at affordable charges, but it is unfortunate that even with the little charge, some pupils drop out of school because their parents are economically disadvantaged. This is so challenging to the school because the staff must be paid, and the children must get the meals even when many learners have defaulted. With support from friends like you, every dollar counts thus giving a better life to a Ugandan child.
